About Project
This project is implemented by UNIDO, with funds from the Government of Germany.
The aim of the activity is to locate and identify food technology and packaging experts along the Lviv – Rotterdam trade route, assess their skill level, provide specialized training and capacity building to assess their skill gaps, allow them to assess the practices along the trade route and identify challenges and bottlenecks, and provide hosting in EU institutes/companies.
We aim to facilitate their transition and integration into the following countries: Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. These countries were chosen for their strong packaging industry and their willingness to accept and support these talented individuals.
This project not only benefits Ukrainian experts seeking hosting and training. With the support of UNIDO and local industry partners, we aim to create a platform that will facilitate this transition while providing strong support for these individuals in their new life stage.

Identify and locate Ukrainian experts and specialists currently living in European countries.
The first objective of this project is to identify and locate Ukrainian experts and specialists currently living in European countries along the Lviv – Rotterdam trade route. These professionals may come from a variety of disciplines, but our main interest is in those who have experience and skills in the packaging industry.
Provide specialized training to previously identified professionals and specialists.
The second objective is to provide specialized training to those experts and specialists we have previously identified. The training will focus on the skills and knowledge that are currently most in demand and relevant in the packaging industry.
Provide guest lectures at EU technical institutions to previously identified experts and specialists to enhance their skills in the most relevant and needed technical areas.
The third objective is to provide our experts and specialists with the opportunity to attend guest lectures at EU technical institutions. These lectures will enable them to update and enhance their skills in the areas that are currently most relevant and most needed by the packaging industry. This is important to keep our professionals competitive in a rapidly changing industry.
